At Death Cafe, people gather to enjoy refreshments and discuss death. It is a relaxed environment where you can talk freely about your views, share fears and ask questions. We have no agenda for leading participants towards any particular conclusion or belief system.
Death Café is not a bereavement support group nor does it provide grief counselling and it may not be appropriate for people who have experienced a very recent and/or traumatic loss or death.
Admission is FREE but please register at https://www.facebook.com/events/324475894772347/ so we have enough chairs for everyone!
Coffee, tea and cake will be served!
We will have a list of attendees at the door for check-in, so we invite you to save paper by not printing your ticket!
Your volunteer hosts/facilitators are Sue Timpson-Mannell and Lisa Naylor. We both enjoy discussing death and see it as a natural part of life. Sue has volunteered with Victims Services of Windsor and Essex County and is a current volunteer at Erie Shores Hospice. She also holds a certificate in Grief and Bereavement from “Life and Death Matters”. Lisa is a mental health counsellor and group facilitator and past volunteer with Bereaved Families of Ontario
Come and join the conversation!
